"A Father's Promise" explores the unsettling crisis of growing up without a father. NBC News cameras track the lives of three children from birth until age 12 to look at how they deal with their absentee fathers in this emotional and thought-provoking documentary. Following the film, NBC's Al Roker, football great Tiki Barber, Newark Mayor Cory Booker and others discuss the role their fathers played in their lives.

One year after the inauguration of the first African-American President, MSNBC presents "Obama's America: 2010 and Beyond," an extended discussion surrounding race and post-racial identity. Moderated by Hardball's Chris Matthews and featuring radio host Tom Joyner, from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas.
