The competitors go fishing on a boat called the East Isle, and are given two hours to catch 500 salmon in order to win a group reward. Later, the trekkers return to the Pacific Ocean for the last time, where they find the kayaks they need for their next event locked together. They must dive into the waters to find submerged bottles that contain the combinations to the locks.

In this episode's first challenge, half of the trekkers must search for a dry bag on an island. The leader divides them up into three two-person teams to accomplish the task. Later in the program, one member of the group collapses while on a fishing boat.

The trekkers are divided into two teams as they paddle for five miles in separate canoes toward the Uchuck, a 136-foot World War II minesweeper. Along the way, the boaters must capture three flags to win a group reward.

The participants compete in a kayaking event on the Gold River that requires them to place colored rocks at different points (which are marked by flags) along the rapids.

The trekkers must find 27 marked items in an old abandoned mining access tunnel with only two flashlights among the seven players. Later, they attempt to complete a long-distance rafting event over fast-moving rivers.

The participants try to complete a 10k event with six mountain bikes staggered along the course, which requires the trekkers to run during the initial part of the challenge. Later, they must hike a 3000-foot mountain with llamas carrying their packs.
