Part II
Mrs. de Winter revives Manderley’s famous ball, but, encouraged by Mrs. Danvers to copy her dress from a painting, she incurs Maxim’s wrath. Mrs. Danvers’ taunting reaches a climax as she declares Rebecca is still ruler at the house.
