Seishun Academy Tennis Club has been invited to the exclusive Under 17 training camp along with their rivals. This is a first, as the camp has never invited a middle school team. The training staff has devised a plan to narrow the list of potential campers. Will Ryoma make it in time?

Takeshi Momoshiro is the first Seishun student to play against a staff member. Unfortunately he is against Jujiroh Oni, the man with a 2 string racquet, the Gatekeeper of Hell. Is Momo strong enough to withstand the onslaught from the Gatekeeper?

After picking a partner, the campers are informed they will have to play against each other. This causes strife as Seigaku’s golden pair are going to play for who gets to stay at camp.

Tezuka is dominating in his match against Kaidoh, but continues to draw the game out. On the next court, Atobe is teaching Hiyoshi what it means to be number one.

Echizen is in danger of being disqualified for leaving the court and not participating in the challenge matches. While the team members search for him, Echizen and Toyama continue their match against Oni and Tokugawa slowly realizing the gap in their skills.

The winners are being subjected to a grueling training campaign as the losers ridding the bus home. As the bus stops unexpectedly, Coach Saitoh is waiting with Echizen and Kintaro; he is offering all the losers a chance to redeem themselves.
