UFC 182: Jones vs. Cormier

After defeating Dan Henderson in early 2014, two-time Olympic wrestler Daniel Cormier said he was willing to wait for a shot at UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. On January 3rd, the wait is over, as Cormier challenges the pound-for-pound king in the main event of UFC 182.

Myles "Fury" Jury has been on a rapid ascension towards the top of the division. He gets his toughest test to date against Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone.

With his back against the wall in November following two straight losses, Brimage fought back with the heart of a champion, knocking out Jumabieke Tuerxun in the first round to give him a fresh start in the Octagon that begins tonight.

Winner of five of his last seven bouts, Brad Tavares may have suffered a couple setbacks in 2014, but with a new year comes a fresh start, and the hard-nosed Hawaiian is eager to get back in the win column by beating one of the biggest names he's faced to date in Nate Marquardt.

Fighting out of Alaska, UFC newcomer Jared Cannonier has the opportunity to put his state on the MMA map if he can defeat Shawn Jordan in his Octagon debut tonight. Unbeaten as a pro, 'Killa' has finished all but one of his bouts thus far, with a varied array of knockouts and submissions making him a tough style matchup for anyone in the heavyweight division. Former LSU football player Jordan isn't too worried about matchups though, as his four knockout wins in the UFC prove that when he lands with one of his bombs, it's lights out for anyone he faces.

After bursting on to the UFC scene by going into Jason Saggo's Canadian backyard and beating him in October, Paul Felder will make a quick turnaround in search of an upset win over seasoned lightweight standout Danny Castillo, and this time, the unbeaten Philadelphian will look to add to his slate of knockouts against 'Last Call.' Sacramento's Castillo is no stranger to facing hungry prospects in the Octagon, and his wins against young guns Anthony Njokuani, Tim Means, Paul Sass, and Charlie Brenneman over the years have shown that if you face him, you do so at your own peril.
