Maddie Dixon-Poirier

Canadian juvenile actress Maddie Dixon-Poirier rose swiftly from local theater talent to co-starring and recurring roles in features and on television, including the no-holds-barred sitcom "Hit the Road" (Audience Network, 2017-) opposite Jason Alexander. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Dixon-Poirier was raised in the hamlet of Bragg Creek, Alberta and began acting in local musical theater productions and at theater camps. She began her screen career in 2014 as a background performer on "Fargo" (FX, 2014-) and worked her way up from appearances in short films and television pilots to a recurring role in the fifth season of "Hell on Wheels" (AMC, 2011-2016). Within a year's time, Dixon-Poirier was working steadily in features and on television, most notably as the most intelligent and guileless member of a dysfunctional family band on "Hit the Road," and in Jason Reitman's comedy-drama "Tully" (2018), starring Charlize Theron and written by Oscar winner Diablo Cody.
