Raleigh Bond

Raleigh Bond was an accomplished actor who led an impressive career, primarily on the big screen. He additionally landed roles in the TV movies "Salvage" (ABC, 1978-79) and "Love For Rent" (ABC, 1979-1980). He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including parts on "Laverne and Shirley" (ABC, 1975-1983) and "Alice" (CBS, 1976-1985). He then appeared in the Gene Hackman comedy "All Night Long" (1981), the Jack Nicholson dramatic adaptation "The Postman Always Rings Twice" (1981) and the musical "Pennies From Heaven" (1981) with Steve Martin. Bond also appeared in "Black Widow" (1987) with Debra Winger and the Elvira comedy "Elvira, Mistress of the Dark" (1988). He also was featured in the TV movie "Making of a Male Model" (ABC, 1983-84). He held additional roles in television including a part on "Hollywood Beat" (ABC, 1985-86). Bond last acted in "The Great Outdoors" (1988). Bond passed away in August 1989 at the age of 54.
