Stonewall
Set in the weeks leading up to the 1969 Stonewall Riots, the violent clash that kicked off the gay rights movement in New York City. The story centres on Danny Winters, who is kicked out of his home by his parents and flees to New York where, homeless and destitute, he befriends a group of street kids who introduce him to the Mafia-run Stonewall Inn. There he catches the eye of Ed Murphy, the repulsive manager of the Stonewall who colludes with corrupt police and exploits homeless youth for financial gain.
