Horde soldier Adora stumbles across a sword in the Whispering Woods, after sneaking out following a training mission. Princess Glimmer is eager to get hold of it for the Rebellion.

Adora, Glimmer and Bow come across an ancient First Ones ruin, while on the run from a monster. The Shadow Weavers demand that Catra bring Adora back.

Glimmer comes up with a plan to introduce Adora to Bright Moon, but it all goes terribly wrong. Adora escapes into the woods and meets an old woman named Razz.

Adora and her friends organise a relief mission to the kingdom of Plumeria, which is currently under siege. The Shadow Weaver is still determined that Catra bring Adora back.

The squad journey to the water realm of Saliness, ruled over by Princess Mermista, but first they need to get hold of a ship.

A recruitment trip to Dryl proves less than successful when a virus corrupts Princess Entrapta's robots, leading to She-Ra also becoming infected.
