The Great Passage

Veteran lexicographer Araki seeks a replacement for himself because he approaches retirement age and meets Mitsuya Majime, who works in the sales department of a publishing house.

After Majime transfers to the dictionary editorial department, he learns of Araki and the supervisor Matsumoto-sensei's passion for dictionaries, and they tell him of Daitokai.

News that Majime has fallen in love with Take's granddaughter, Kaguya comes to light; the editorial team decides to visit the restaurant where he is learning to become a chef.

To stop the rumoured cancellation of Daitokai, the editorial team unites to implement Nishioka's plan; Nishioka has never felt more alive; a few months later, Majime has a day off.
