Lazio and Machismo

Lazio and Machismo

S2 E4: Gennaro and Antonio travel to Lazio to find out what it means to be a man in modern Italy. They begin in the mountain villages, where men provide for their families and gender roles have remained much the same. However, in Rome, men are increasingly taking on more traditional female duties, such as cleaning and cooking. They find that even the food of Rome has been modernized and in their opinion, become less macho. Along the way, Antonio and Gennaro demonstrate their recipes for Bucatini al'Amatriciana, Frittata di Pepperoni, and Brasato di Manzo en Vino Rosso.
