Those Damned Savages

Thomas Hebert, the main character, lives an adventure that takes place simultaneously in New France, in 1630, and in Montreal, three centuries later, in the Seventies. The film draws its inspiration from the occasional grandiloquence of textbooks or at times their oversimplifications. The director sees his film as the museum of our consciousness where the candor and beauty of traditional images bear witness to the past, the present and the future.
