Three months after being involved in a dramatic event, Nick Berrof is back on duty with the Montreal Metropolitan Police.

Ben tries, without success, to make Nick understand that his behaviour can cause them problems. At the end of the day, Sergeant Houle takes the new kid to Chez Marie-Louise, where the team usually meets.

As Ben wakes up to the realisation that he has taken Tyler in after a very drunken night out, the memory of his former partner, Jean-Pierre Harvey, continues to haunt Nick.

Tyler's addiction to alcohol is increasingly problematic and puts the team at risk. As Nick checks in with his former partner, Harvey, Sergeant Houle invites the team to his home.

It is time for Harvey to leave the rehab center and Nick considers taking him in. Gendron refuses to transfer Ben to the Dugas unit. Ben takes advantage of his two days off to return to his village to find Catherine.

During a brawl between rival gangs in Kent Park, Nick and Ben recognise the young man who had threatened Ben with his gun some time before.
