After wishing for the courage to be her would-be self, Amu discovers three colorful eggs in her bed.

Amu Hinamori is a 5th grade transfer student who is fashionably cool, tough and independent; despite this, she is also a girl who seems unapproachable, both at home and at school.

Nadeshiko tells Amu that the two should become friends; Amu sees it as a trick to get her to join the Guardians.

Amu protests to the Guardians making her a member; they explain that while they have to do boring work, the Joker's responsibility is dealing with her own affairs and handling the X Eggs.

Nadeshiko and Amu watch Kukai's soccer team practice; Amu encounters Yamada, one of Kukai's teammates.

Amu accompanies Yaya to the guardian's ballet class where she meets with the class's prima, Maika Himekawa.
