S1 E2: This episode looks at what it takes to find true happiness in the land where the sun always shines. We’re down on Rodeo Drive to meet the movers and shakers making it and faking it both financially and in the love stakes. Stephen Oscar is a 23-year-old model and aspiring actor, but the real money comes from being a social influencer with an online following of hundreds of thousands. Stephen invites us into his everyday world, where it takes nothing to blag diamond necklaces worth fifty thousand dollars, crash catwalk shows, and work out with Gunnar Peterson, personal trainer to Hollywood’s A-list. Matchmaker Gina Hendrix is on the prowl for eligible women for her billionaire male client. She charges a minimum of $75,000, and her main challenge lies in finding women who are both beautiful and hyper-educated. "I’m always looking for supermodels with master's degrees who deliver water to children in Africa." Gina may boast a 95% success rate, but her matchmaking with millionaire record producer Chris doesn’t go to plan. Meanwhile, British aristocrat Lady Victoria Hervey made her home in LA 15 years ago and is now launching her designer swimwear brand, Ladyship. In the search for eternal youth, she introduces us to the world of cosmetic enhancement where "getting Botox in your lunch break is like buying a sandwich." Finally, in her search for love and happiness, we follow her on a blind date that has car crash consequences.
