Jingle & Bell
A group of excited children, among them a boy named Andrew, watch as workers put up a very tall Christmas tree in the town of Pineville. They wonder who will win the raffle to put the star on the tree this year. As the clock tower begins to chime, Andrew and his trusty Husky pup, Jingle, head home for lunch. On his way, Andrew notices a “Sold” sign posted in front of the house next door. Meanwhile in tropical Palm City, Sofia is spending her last day before she moves playing in the waves with her friends Miguel and Megan as her Husky pup, Bell, watches from the sand. Before the friends part, Megan and Miguel give Bell a pink dog collar with a bell on it as a going way present. As Sofia’s family moves into their new home in Pineville, Andrew and Jingle watch from their living room window. Jingle hears the ringing of Bell’s collar and runs outside to greet his new neighbor, instantly bonding, while Andrew introduces himself to Sofia. On her first day at Pineville Elementary, Sofia is introduced to Ms. Waxman and her new classmates. Ms. Waxman announces the big raffle drawing that will decide the class finalist for the honor of placing the star on top of the Christmas tree in the Town Square. Andrew’s name is pulled from the raffle drum. After school, Sofia congratulates Andrew, who invites Sofia to join him and his friends in the park. She agrees and as the two walk through town, Sofia is amazed at the decorations – she has never experienced small town America before. At the park, Bell and Jingle roll around in the snow as Sofia and Andrew build a snowman. While talking about Christmas, Sofia reveals she is spending the holidays in Palm City, where she is going to the beach for a big Barbeque. Upon hearing her plans, Bruce, another neighborhood boy, calls Sofia’s holiday customs strange, hurting her feelings. When Sofia sadly starts to walk away, Andrew comforts her and convinces her to stay and help him finish the snowman. The snowfall starts to pick up and the children decide to go home but notice that their pups have gone missing. They head deeper into the woods eventually finding the Huskies who, being built for the snowy weather, lead the way home against the storm. The storm lasts for three days, delaying Sofia’s holiday plans. Luckily on Christmas Eve, the snowstorm finally ends and the town gathers to celebrate the placing of the star on the Christmas tree. But Andrew is saddened when he sees that Sofia did not want to come and decides to leave minutes before the raffle to cheer her up. Sofia realizes what a good friend Andrew is and urges him to get back into town for the raffle before it is too late. They begin an exciting race against time, cutting through driveways and backyards. Along the way, they run into Bruce who is sitting all alone on the front stoop of his house. Bruce apologizes to Sofia and she invites him to come with them to the Christmas tree lighting. They use Bruce’s sleigh to race downhill just in time for Santa to call out Andrew’s name. In the spirit of friendship, Andrew offers the star to Sofia and they agree to place it on the tree together. But before they do, Santa surprises Sofia with the collar Bell had lost in the snowstorm. Sofia is thankful to be with her new friends.
