Larry misses an appointment with his doctor, which in turn causes him to miss an appointment with Diane Keaton. On discovering that the interior decorator Cheryl has hired also works for Diane, Larry tries to get the star's number from her.

Hoping to bury an unsightly telephone wire, Larry and Cheryl befriend their bizarre neighbours to get their approval, but one of them asks to meet 'Seinfeld' star Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
