`Coach Trip' tour guide Brendan Sheerin leads eight tourists on a five-day trip to exciting and exotic destinations across the world. But there's a catch: The tourists are left in the dark regarding details, including where they are going, what they are doing once they get there, and who they are doing it with. Cultural challenges await the tourists at each destination, and these challenges determine the quality of their holiday - winners earn luxury upgrades like gourmet dinners, limos or hotel suites, whereas the losers suffer budget downgrades, including campsite stays, overnights in dormitories, and public transport use.
