EPISODE 1
Journey Through the Inlet
Six city slicker workers, from Porter Matthews Real Estate, Perth, who have some hidden problems, discover the true meaning of leadership, teamwork and honesty in a test of outback survival. They are lead by top corporate psychologist Dr. Travis Kemp, who believes in the power of placing people under extreme pressure in the wilderness. Porter Matthews began as a family business, founded by Ray and Lita Grogan, and everyone who works there is treated like family. Ray has decided that a bit of corporate team building in the bush would be a beneficial experience for the business and its people. Little does he realise they will be thrown into a survival scenario that will expose the hidden and potentially terminal problem in his organisation. So, on day one the team drives south from their office in Perth. Many hours later, they come to the edge of a river. Here they meet Dr. Travis Kemp and their adventure begins. They don't realise it yet but they are at the mouth of a giant, treacherous inlet on the remote and wild Southern coast of Western Australia. Now they will have to paddle, swim and scramble their way to safety. In doing so they will not only confront what it means to be lost in the wilderness but also the core issue in the business.
