Kimberley Labyrinth
Are Leaders born or made? Six cool creative geeks from the big smoke with some hidden problems are about to find out in a gruelling test of outback survival. They are lead by top corporate psychologist, Dr. Travis Kemp, who believes in the power of placing people under extreme pressure in the wilderness. Soap Creative is highly successful digital advertising agency based in Sydney and they will now face a survival scenario that will expose their collaborative approach to running his business for what it really is. ,and into The Kimberley's wet season, marked by searing temperatures and wild, tropical storms. After travelling far beyond the reach of mobile phones they turn off the main highway. A few kilometres down a track they leave their 4WD and walk-in to meet Dr. Travis Kemp. They don't realise it yet but they are at the beginning of a long, almost circular, journey that will take them up creeks and gorges prone to flooding, across hot dry plains, and through deep underground labyrinths. Travis presents the "Tarpaulin of Choice". From this the participants from Soap have half an hour to choose what they think they might need to survive and prosper in this extreme environment. However, as they go about this task, a monster electrical storm is bearing down upon them. As Travis points out they are about to get wet. What follows is a frightening display of nature's fury and a calamitous attempt by the boys to erect a shelter and take cover. That night Travis sits around the campfire discussing the objectives of the journey. Ash, the agency boss, makes it clear he is not here to lead but rather wants to take a back seat. For Travis this will become a key theme to explore as the journey unfolds. The following the morning, with the storm gone, the sun is out and the temperatures are already soaring. Before they head off down a treacherous river system Travis briefs the boys on some of the dangers they will face. Over the next few days they will have to swim, cave, canyon and climb their way to safety. In doing so, they will not only confront what is means to be lost in the wilderness but also the core issues in their business.
