In Spite of Love

Defne is a software engineer who grew up in an oppressive family. As her brother objects her dress, she has to change her clothes in the parking lot of the company she works for. Just then she is caught by her boss Yalın, but she thinks he is an employee. Her other boss Deniz gives Defne, who is late for work, a chance not to get fired. Defne has to solve a hard problem in a limited time.

When Defne learns who Yalın Aras really is, she feels humiliated and resigns. Yalın follows Defne to apologize to her but he catches her changing her clothes in the parking lot again. At this moment, Defne's brother shows up and begins fighting with Yalın. Defne manages to somehow escape from them and run home. Yeşim thinks Defne and her brother are perfect for each other, but Defne has no intention of forgiving Yalın. So, Yeşim uses Defne's schoolmate to try to get her to return.

Yeşim's plan works and Defne agrees to go back to work, but she doesn't know how to explain this to her brother. Visiting the company to talk to Defne, Çınar meets Yeşim and falls in love with her. Yeşim doesn't know Çınar and thinks he is Defne's boyfriend. Yalın's world collapses when he learns that Defne has a boyfriend. Just as Defne is softening up, she learns that Yalın has hired Damla and everything's back to square one.

Defne finds out that Damla is her superior and once again resigns from her job. Yalın wants to clarify this to Defne but finds himself arguing with her again. Yeşim must distract Çınar, but she can't stop herself from talking nonsense in front of him. Yeşim and Deniz make a plan to get Defne to return to the company.

A very valuable guest arrives from Trabzon for Çınar and Defne, but the timing couldn't be worse. Yalın persuades Defne to come to the company and solve a problem in a software. İdris persuades his grandmother to take her to the company to beat up the man who saw Defne's 'titties'. Everybody tries to stop Defne's grandmother, but she storms into a crucial meeting and beats Yalın.

It turns out that the people at the meeting know Defne's grandmother, so Yalın’s deal will not be broken. Yalın and Deniz need to make an explanation to their fathers. Deniz tries to understand what Ezgi is trying to do. Yalın tries to hold Defne responsible for what happened at the meeting, but Defne succeeds in escaping. Toprak, Defne's older brother, comes to Istanbul for a job.
