Shark

A charismatic defence attorney goes to work for the district attorney's office. As the new head of the Los Angeles District Attorney's High Profile Crime Unit, Sebastian Stark employs his trademark ruthlessness, and encourages the rest of his young team to follow suit.

Stark works on a new case: the murder of an undercover narcotics detective. He finds that the murdered cop's partners are reluctant to help him because of his reputation as a ruthless defence attorney.

Stark takes on the challenging case of a prominent surgeon who stands accused of murdering his wife, but there is no body or apparent motive. Also, Stark finds himself having to explain his relationship choices to his daughter.

A couple is shot to death in a Malibu beach house, which they rented from a private investigator who knows dirty secrets about almost everyone in Hollywood, including Stark.

Stark and the team encounter problems when they attempt to prosecute three students accused of gang rape, and Stark realises that he has been neglecting his daughter Julie when she gets suspended from school for plagiarism.

Stark reluctantly tackles the case of a sweatshop fire that killed four women. When their first charge of criminal negligence fails, Martin presses Stark to prosecute on the grounds of slavery.
