Based on the story of Anastasia, grand-daughter of the last Tsar of Russia. When the family is killed, only Anastasia and her grandmother escape, but they are separated. Years later, conmen Dimitri and Vladimir hear of a reward for the return of Anastasia to her grandmother and begin preparing Anya to play the part, little realising that the teenage girl is, in fact, the real Anastasia.
