Jungle Gold
Available on discovery+
Greenhorn gold miners George Wright and Scott Lomu put everything on the line - their lives included - to hit pay dirt in the gold-rich and danger-filled jungles of Ghana. It's Africa's second largest gold-producing country, so finding the precious metal isn't the hard part. That would be exporting it, as Wright and Lomu have to mine through such obstacles as armed locals and illegal miners to get the gold home. The partners need to make at least $150,000, the amount they borrowed to cure their gold fever brought on when each took a financial bath in the 2008 real estate market crash.
