In Staten Island, N.Y., the birth of Wu-Tang starts with a bang -- literally.
With Divine on the sidelines in prison, Dennis and Bobby step up to handle his responsibilities. They scrounge up enough money to buy a kilo of crack-cocaine.
A friend's death shakes Staten Island to its core and Bobby, Gary, and Ason reminisce while Dennis mourns. Prison grows more complicated for Divine. Haze and Cressy plan to unite Staten Island by hosting a rap battle.
Bobby and Dennis come up with a new hustle to make some cream and take a slice of Wall Street for themselves. Later, they draw influence from witty and unpredictable sources to make music with Shotgun and Ason.
Divine returns home after prison but nothing feels the same, especially with Bobby in charge. The rift between Park Hill and Stapleton grows when Bobby cuts a track with Shotgun, and an infuriated Dennis drops a track of his own.
Bobby has debts to pay and continues his pick-ups, meeting with friend and fellow rapper Rebel. Short on cash and desperate, Bobby and Dennis attempt a new angle only to wind up in a worse situation.
