Because their Hamaji Junior High School under the sea is closing, Umimura residents Sakishima Hikari, Mukaido Manaka, Hiradaira Chisaki, and Isaki Kaname are transferring to Mihama Junior High on the surface.
Manaka ends up with a fish face on her knee from Uroko-sama's curse; Hikari grows annoyed that Manaka and Tsumugu are talking.
Akari is scolded by her father for disobeying the rules of Umimura; Tsumugu's grandfather explains that people from Umimura aren't allowed to marry anyone from the surface, as their children won't survive underwater.
Hikari learns that Akari's boyfriend is the father of the girl who's been fighting him, who asks him to help break them up. The next day, they take a cooking class with Umimura kids.
Akari tells Uroko-sama and her father how she feels about Itaru, and begins to smile again. Hikari sees this and feels a little better.
The students gather for swimming class. The sea kids are adjusting to school on land and are getting along with the other kids.
