On 26th August, fifteen-year-old Sarah, who dreams of leaving Avetrana and her home behind, mysteriously disappears when she decides to go towards the beach through Grazia Deledda Street.

Sabrina, a local beautician, is very protective of her cousin Sarah, but their relationship has been different lately. On 26 August, Sabrina waits in vain for Sarah's arrival and begins to have a bad feeling.

Michele Misseri, Sabrina's father, finds Sarah's phone on the morning of 29th September. While everything feels inexplicable, his confession comes in the middle of a live TV show, and the recovery of the body provides compelling evidence.
