Debra, a 29-year-old immigrant sex worker, takes her young, self-aware daughter, Mona, on an unpredictable yet empowering journey of emancipation. Fending for themselves out on the road, they attempt to escape cycles of abuse and poverty while learning to love themselves and each other.
