Escaping Alaska

Five young Eskimos prepare to secretly escape their native villages for the first time. They must lie to their loved ones and risk leaving their families stranded during the harsh winter in order to pursue their dreams of a new life in San Diego.

The group lands in San Diego and quickly discovers that the Lower 48 is drastically different from Alaska. A trip to the grocery store reveals divisions within the group, and they face severe culture shock while celebrating Mardi Gras.
