Slim meets a caterpillar and looks for him again later, but finds a butterfly instead. Mysterious footprints lead to a baby gosling who is separated from his flock. Rooster says “cockadoodle bat” instead of “cockadoodle bat”.
It's a chilly day on the farm and all the water has turned to ice. Someone has eaten Horse’s breakfast, Mouse’s corn, Dog’s blanket, Duck’s bread and Hen’s nest straw. A colony of ants teaches the gang about cooperation and working together.
Slim and friends work on making a sticky mixture to fix a hole in the roof of the pigsty. Duck’s grand-ducklings visit the farm and Little Chick joins the ducks on their outing. Little Chick becomes enamored with a sock that has fallen off the clothesline
Horse and Slim find a four leaf clover. The friends go apple picking and end up picking too many. The friends play in a haystack in the barn.
The friends help Dog win a ribbon at a dog show. The farm is nominated for best farm but they have to impress a sheep that is very hard to please. Mouse paints Horse and Dog, but get's discouraged when they don't turn out exactly right.
It's a rainy day on the farm and Slim loves the rain but not everyone feels the same. Mouse finds a treasure in an old shoe on the farm and the friends have a good day pretending. Horse is talking in his sleep, dreaming about the old travelling Big Barnyard Show.
