Under the Power

Yuan Jinxia is about to be charge of a mysterious case, but Lu Yi suddenly appears, claiming that the Embroidered Uniform Guards will take care of it and asks the Department Six to opt out. Yuan Jinxia is not convinced and bets Lu Yi that Department Six will close the case before the Embroidered Uniform Guards do.

Yuan Jinxia and Lu Yi are both chasing after a man named Cao Kun. They are aware of the same clue. Yuan Jinxia tries to get it, however she has no choice but to hand it to Lu Yi.

Cao Kun is killed. With Yuan Jinxia's help, Lu Yi finds what he wanted from Cao Kun. The emperor wants Lu Yi to travel to the South to do further investigation, and Department Six shall be his assistance. Yuan Jinxia, her master Yang Chengwan and her partner Yang Yue go to the South in represent of Department Six.

On the ship to the South, some trunks with birthday gifts are gone. Yuan Jinxia and Yang Yue are framed to be the thieves, and Lu Yi promises to prove their innocence by finding out the real thief. While they are investigating, there comes the ghost ship! Lu Yi, not believing the existence of ghost ship, brings Yuan Jinxia to board it.

Lu Yi and Yuan Jinxia find that the ghost ship is a trick to allow the real thief of the gift trunks to hide them. The real thief, Sha Xiuzhu, is arrested. They find some trunks back, but two are missing. A man in black appears and tries to save Sha Xiuzhu, but Lu Yi stops him. The man in black escapes and takes out the missing two trunks at a shore.

The party reaches Yangzhou. The man in black tried to save Sha Xiuzhu is named Xie Xiao, the young master of Wuan Gang. In order to save Sha Xiuzhu, Xie Xiao steals Yuan Jinxia's badge. However, after knowing that Yuan Jinxia used to helped him in childhood, Xie Xiao returns the badge to her, and the two become friends.
