Hard-nosed but brilliant police inspector Eva Cantini (award-winning actress Cristina Capotondi) transfers to her hometown in the Italian Lakes district to help her single-mother sister, Rachele, raise her young son, Matteo. On the first day of duty at her new station, a father reports that his 22-year-old daughter has gone missing, but only Eva takes the man's concerns seriously.
