Frances returns to the Middleton Interactive Learning Centre, but her rightful position there is threatened by Nada.

Frances regains control of her domain with the official library opening only a week away. Someone from the Library Association arrives to assess Christine.

Frances is determined to use the new library's official opening date to re-stamp her authority. However, things don't go smoothly for her.

Frances is in a foul mood with Terry staying at his mum's house. She's lacking sleep, drinking too much, and is unable to concentrate at work.

A terrified Christine goes into labour a month premature, rendering her caesarean appointment useless. With the labour ward at capacity, she endures her worst nightmare when she is placed in the birthing centre.

On the day of the National Library Awards, Frances remains surprised at Nada's nomination for Librarian of the Year. She is thrilled when she realises an opportunity to eradicate Nada's chance at winning.
