Notre premier flip

Cédrik Reinhardt, Ingrid Falaise's entrepreneur husband, has just found a real estate bargain. As the duplex has a foundation problem, the couple must start with staking the building.

On the site, Cédrik receives a visit from a mason. After the inspection of the structure, the verdict falls: the renovations will cost more than expected. When Ingrid hears the news, it is a real blow. Cédrik tries to reassure her, but the financial risk is very important.

While demolishing the walls, Cédrik discovers traces of ants. He then calls in an exterminator. He also receives a visit from a building engineer to check the beams charred by a fire. During this time, Ingrid is at the recording studio for her television series.

Ingrid helps Cédrik on the site for the delivery of the beams. As the couple get down to work, she gets a phone call. She has to leave the site immediately, because her son, Émil, is ill. Reconciling family life and flipping is a daily challenge.

Cedrik shows Ingrid the plans for the kitchen, but Emil takes all her attention. Ingrid calls professionals to the rescue, because their house is flooding. A discussion takes place: one of them has already made a flip and explains that he has not made a profit, which frightens Ingrid.

Ingrid calls her father to talk about funding, because the budget will be exceeded. She has no choice but to dip into her savings now. She starts to be really scared of flopping and confides in her friends.
