Betty and Marc find themselves competing with each other when they both apply for an internship at YETI, the Young Editors Training Initiative, which offers only one place per magazine. With only one of the bosses pulling out the stops to make sure their assistant gets the place, who will scoop the prize?

Betty is alarmed when she and Marc discover the dire condition of Mode's financial health when they are asked to analyse the company's budgets for a YETI assignment. Later, Betty has another shock when she gets money out of a machine and finds her balance is in a significantly better state than it should be. Meanwhile, Betty goes on a date with Matt after hearing that Henry has a new girlfriend.
