Charlie must make a difficult decision about his future as to which woman he wants to spend his life with, Chelsea or Mia. Meanwhile, Charlie also grows wary that Melissa has slowly moved into the house.

After saying goodbye to the late Charlie Harper, Alan meets Walden Schmidt (Ashton Kutcher), a broken-hearted billionaire.

Charlie and Mia start making their wedding arrangements, however, things begin to fall apart when their two families meet. Eventually they decide on a small ceremony in Las Vegas.

Charlie returns to his bachelor lifestyle after Alan moves out of the house whilst Alan suffers a breakdown after his divorce from Kandi.

After seeing Charlie with a lot of females in the space of one day, Alan feels Charlie is unable to control his womanising ways. Charlie goes to see his shrink who makes him realise he's missing the one that got away.
