The town blames Elsa when a fatal icy spell is cast on Marian, not knowing that another resident has the same powers, and Mary Margaret struggles to balance motherhood and leading the town.

When the Legends realize they broke the timeline, Rip Hunter (guest star ARTHUR DARVILL) arrives with his new organization -- the Time Bureau -- to relieve them of duty in the season three premiere. But a new threat arises when Rory spots Julius Caesar (guest star SIMON MERRELLS) in Aruba. Thrilled at the chance to get the team back together, Sara and Ray devise a plan to steal the Waverider back from the Time Bureau in order to stop Julius Caesar from conquering the modern world.

The team's hunt for the Spear of Destiny gets tougher after they learn that its shards are being guarded in different time periods, and they soon join forces with the Knights of the Round Table.
