Nina Young
Nina Young is an Australian journalist who has, for the biggest project of her career, allowed her own life to become the story. It's a story that began four years before she was born, with the brutal murder of an Indigenous woman in Norseman, a tiny outback town in Western Australia. Her biological father, a man named Allan, went to prison for the murder. Four years later, while still in prison, he met a woman. A volunteer working in prisons to help inmates get their HSC. Though they could not have been from more different worlds, the woman and Allan fell in love. Soon after, that woman gave birth to a child, though it would be decades before that child -Nina - learnt the awful truth about why her father was in prison. Now, Nina is ready to travel back through the past and get the answers about her family she has sought for so long. And to do it, she has enlisted the help of an all-female production team to bring you a six-part podcast series: My Father, The Murderer.
