When a young writer sells the field for the reboot of a sitcom from the early 2000s, the show's actors have to get back together, face their unresolved issues and forge a new future together.

As Bree and Reed struggle to get through an intimate scene on camera, Hannah and Gordon each hire their own writers, causing paralysis in the writers' room. Clay tries to end an awkward relationship at work before it blows up in his face.

Reed entangles himself in Bree's personal life, as she awakens to the modern world. Hannah realizes Gordon doesn't know she's a lesbian. Zack and Elaine have an awkward business meeting.

Gordon and Reed work on their past problems, while Clay helps Bree out of trouble. Hannah supports Zack as he tries to get back the dog he had with his ex-girlfriend.
