Ophelia Lovibond

Memorable for her eye-catching fashion sense as well as her sophisticated acting style, actor Ophelia Lovibond always knew she wanted to be a performer. The London-born brunette began honing her skills in a youth theater club called the YoungBlood Theatre company at the age of ten, which she and her parents felt was an excellent avenue to let the young Lovibond explore her interest without limiting her future options, should her hobby prove to be just a phase. Lovibond's love of acting proved to be much more than a phase, however, and she would go on to attend London's prestigious Latymer Upper School on a drama scholarship, simultaneously booking her first professional job at age 14, playing the role of Poppy on the TV series, "The Wilsons" (Channel 4, 2000). Lovibond would continue to work regularly on shows like "Single" (ITV, 2003) and "Nathan Barley" (Channel 4, 2005) while attending school, eventually going on to graduate from the University of Sussex in 2005 with a degree in English Literature. Soon, Lovibond's projects were becoming more prominent. She made waves on the series "Holby City" (Channel 4, 1999-) and "FM" (ITV, 2009), and in feature films like "London Boulevard" (2010). She made a particular impression while trying out for the period series "Mr. Sloane" (Sky, 2014-), impressing producers by dressing in full 1960s attire for her audition tape. Lovibond's sharp style helped win her the role, and she would become well known for her love of '60s fashion, contributing to style-centric media outlets like Vogue.uk. After appearing in the blockbuster hit "Guardians of the Galaxy" (2014), Lovibond joined the cast of the U.S. detective series "Elementary" (CBS 2012-) as Kitty Winter, a new protégée for Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller).
