Big Daddy Kane

Big Daddy Kane's early music was mostly featured in comedies like the Tommy Davidson film "Strictly Business" (1991). His music also appeared on the television show "In Living Color" (Fox, 1989-1994). An actor as well as a musician, Kane took on a part in the documentary "Listen Up" (1990) with Quincy Jones. In the nineties, Kane's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like "Juice" (1992) with Omar Epps and the Damon Wayans action film "Mo' Money" (1992). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the comedy "Dave Chappelle's Block Party" (2006) with Dave Chappelle, "Dead Heist" (2007) and "Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap" (2012). Additionally, he appeared on the television special "BET Music's Grammy Preview" (BET, 2000-01). Kane also contributed music to the Edward Norton dramatic adaptation "25th Hour" (2002). Most recently, Kane appeared on "2013 Soul Train Awards" (BET, 2013-14).
