Country guy Danila, having reached the age of 16, increasingly takes interest in his twice-older neighbor Kate. But the guy does not make overtures only observing her from a distance, until one day he notices his father at her house door. This is the beginning of events, exposing the drama of the relationship of the movie's characters leading to disaster.
