Born a mutant in 1845, Wolverine and his brother escape their hometown and join the army, fighting side by side in every great American battle, until they are recruited by Colonel Stryker to form a special mutant army. Wolverine eventually leaves, and tries to pursue a normal life, but when finds himself being hunted down by Stryker, he prepares to fight back.
