Ernie Adams

Ernie Adams was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Adams started his acting career landing roles in such films as the Betty Compson western "The Pony Express" (1925), "The Black Bird" (1926) and "Pals in Paradise" (1926). He also appeared in "Nevada" (1927) with Gary Cooper, "Melting Millions" (1927) and "The Main Event" (1927). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the thirties, appearing in the Bob Steele western "The Gun Ranger" (1936), "Hopalong Cassidy Returns" (1936) with George "Gabby" Hayes and "Gun Lords of Stirrup Basin" (1937). He also appeared in the drama "Anything For a Thrill" (1937) with Frankie Darro. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the drama "Wings Over the Pacific" (1943) with Inez Cooper, the adventure "Jack London" (1943) with Michael O'Shea and "Hail to the Rangers" (1943) with Charles Starrett. He also appeared in "The Phantom" (1944) and the Chester Lauck comedy "Goin' to Town" (1944). Adams was most recently credited in "Brenda Starr, Reporter" (2011). Adams passed away in November 1947 at the age of 62.
