Christopher Chulack

Emmy winner Christopher Chulack began working in television as a producer in the 1980s for series like "Fantasy Island," "Jack and Mike," and the made-for-TV movies "Lady Blue" and "The Man Who Fell to Earth." Chulack received his first bit of critical acclaim in 1991, when he began producing episodes of the series "Homefront": a dramatization of the lives of several family members living in the fictional Ohio city of River Run during the 1940s. His directorial debut came on "Homefront" when he got behind the camera for one episode in 1993. That would lead to more directing in television, and in 1995 he began work on the critically acclaimed medical drama series "ER." He gained executive production credits in 2003 and continued both production and directing duties until 2009. While directing episodes of "ER" in the early 2000s, he began executive producing a similar series in 2000 with "Third Watch." He directed some of the first episodes of the series and served as an executive producer on the show until 2005. Although garnering the majority of his critical acclaim with his work on "ER," most of Chulack's television endeavors have been extremely successful. Such a run continued into the 2010s when he was an executive producer on "Southland": another dramatic series focusing on the lives of inner city public servants.
