S1, E1: Anne and Erik are basically an average couple in the second decade of their marriage. Their son is going through puberty, erotic sparks are only a vague memory, and everyday life is dominated by organizational matters. On Anne's birthday, the situation escalates. On the one hand, this is due to Erik's boring gift, and on the other, to the parents involved, who are quite incompatible. In the end, Anne and Erik find themselves in couples therapy with Dr Heller and realize that their marriage is on the rocks. It is just then that Anne's father Ludwig is diagnosed with dementia. An inopportune moment – after all, both Anne and Erik work in Ludwig's company. Can it work to go through a marriage crisis and share the same workplace?
