Curtiss P-40 Warhawk

The Battle of Tinian was an American landing operation as part of the conquest of the militarily important Mariana Islands. On July 24th, 1944, 6000 Marines of the 5th Amphibious Corps with 200 amphibious tanks landed on Tinian.
