Starting with smaller TV roles, this Spanish-speaking actor moved on to critically acclaimed films and the lead on a telenovela. Born in Mexico City, Mexico Alejandro de la Madrid made his television debut on the telenovela "Tú y yo" (1996). Alejandro continued to show up in smaller roles in Mexican-produced Spanish-language soap operas, from various roles in the romantic anthology "Mujer, Casos de la Vida Real" (2001) to Rafael Valdez, the boyfriend of Paloma in the "Sex and the City"-inspired "Sin vergüenza" (2007). In 2009, Alejandro moved on to the Colombian action drama "El cártel" as Officer Sloan. In 2014, he became a recurring cast member starting on Season 2 of Telemundo's drug drama based on true life events, "El Señor de los Cielos." (2013) That same year also found the actor cast in "Four Moons" (2014), a film revolving around four interwoven stories with a heavy LGBT focus. The film was one of 14 films shortlisted for the Mexican submission for Best Foreign Language film for the 88th Academy Awards that year, but was beat out by "600 Miles" (2015). From there, Alejandro booked into "El hotel de los secretos" (2016) as one of the secretive characters woven in the interconnecting story. In 2016, Alejandro de la Madrid was cast in "Guerra de Idolos," a Telemundo telanovela focusing on the Latin music industry in the United States.
