Charlotte Wynters

Charlotte Wynters was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. In her early acting career, Wynters appeared in such films as the Gary Cooper comedy "His Woman" (1931), "The Ivory-Handled Gun" (1935) and the comedy "Mr. Cinderella" (1936) with Jack Haley. She also appeared in the Madge Evans drama "Sinners in Paradise" (1938) and "The Sunset Trail" (1938). Her film career continued throughout the thirties and the forties in productions like "Panama Patrol" (1939), "The Renegade Trail" (1939) and the mystery "Ellery Queen and the Murder Ring" (1941) with Ralph Bellamy. She also appeared in the William Gargan adventure "A Desperate Chance For Ellery Queen" (1942). Toward the end of her career, she tackled roles in the mystery "Falcon's Brother" (1942) with George Sanders, "The Underdog" (1943) and "A Woman of Distinction" (1950). She also appeared in the Jane Russell dramatic adaptation "Foxfire" (1955). Wynters more recently acted in "Eighteen and Anxious" (1957) with Mary Webster. Wynters passed away in January 1991 at the age of 92.
