Michael Maloney

British-born Michael Maloney was a beloved actor, well-known for his memorable performances on the Hollywood movie screen. Maloney began his acting career with roles in such films as the drama "Richard's Things" (1981) with Liv Ullmann, "Ordeal By Innocence" (1985) with Donald Sutherland and "Sharma and Beyond" (1986) with Suzanne Burden. He also appeared in the mystery "La Maschera" (1988) with Helena Bonham Carter and the sci-fi picture "Hysteria" (1997) with Patrick McGoohan. He kept working in film throughout the nineties and the early 2000s, starring in the comedic drama "Sans plomb" (2000) with Emma De Caunes, the Parminder Nagra comedy "Twelfth Night, Or What You Will" (2003) and the Vivek Oberoi foreign "Kisna" (2005). More recently, he continued to act in "The Young Victoria" (2009) with Emily Blunt, the Meryl Streep biographical drama "The Iron Lady" (2011) and "Summer in February" (2014). He also worked in television during these years, including roles in "Father Brown" (BBC 1, 2013-) and "Utopia" (Channel 4, 2013-14). Most recently, Maloney acted on "Paranoid" (Netflix, 2016-).
