Roy Hudd

Roy Hudd was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "Young Charlie Chaplin" (1988-89), "Peter and the Wolf: A Prokofiev Fantasy" (1994-95) and "Heavy Weather" (PBS, 1995-96). He also landed a few movie roles at the time, appearing in the comedy "Up Pompeii" (1971) with Frankie Howerd. He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Cold Lazarus" (1996-97) and "Karaoke" (1996-97). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Midsomer Murders" (ITV 1, 1996). Hudd focused on film in more recent years, appearing in "A Kind of Hush" (1999) with Harley Smith and the Charlie Hardwick comedic adaptation "Purely Belter" (2000). He also had a part in the TV miniseries "Little Dorrit" (2008-09). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Call the Midwife" (PBS, 2012-). Hudd most recently acted in "Robot Overlords" (2015). Roy Hudd died March 15, 2020 in London at the age of 83.
